Get To Know Us a Little Better
Get To Know Us A Little Better
The month of October was a really hectic one for us. We had so much going on with the build and in our personal lives that we had barely any moment to breathe. And then on top of that I decided to do Vlogtober again.
If you are not aware, Vlogtober is where I share a video log (vlog) every day of the month for the month of October. Basically it shows our daily lives every day as the progress.
It’s raw and unfiltered. Some days are great, others not so much. And while I know that not everyone cares what a blogger or YouTuber does in their day to day life, some subscribers were really intrigued at how things actually function behind the scenes and were given a first hand look.
I started the month with a very personal heart to heart video where I shared how I coped with my loss over the summer. It was a very vulnerable video, but I was happy to get my feelings out since I felt like it was something I needed to share.
I had never done anything like that in the past thinking that perhaps it was inappropriate or unnecessary. Surprisingly, it reached women who had gone through or were experiencing the same thing in real time.
While I would never want anyone to go through what I went through, I did find comfort in knowing I wasn’t the only one that carries this pain in my heart, so it made me feel less alone during my journey. I in turn, hope I could make someone else feel that way through my heart to heart.
As for the rest of the month, I was proud of myself for getting a video out regularly despite everything I had to juggle… I only missed 2 days the entire month.
Toward the end of the month I decided to ask if anyone wanted my husband and myself to do a Q&A for the final video of Vlogtober and there happened to be an overwhelming interest. So we gave everyone the opportunity to ask us questions.
The final interest generated 7 pages of questions. Some of them were repeats, but it nonetheless was a lot.
So Nelson and I sat down and began to answer the questions. Some general questions about the house build and others were more personal and things we had never addressed before on our channel.
We shared some laughs as well as some serious topics that we felt strongly about. If you are interested in getting to know us a little better you can watch the Q&A below.
All in all, I think it was a success and we received the sweetest comments. I will say, I have some of the best subscribers anyone could ask for on Youtube and I am so proud of the familia we have created online and we are truly grateful for each and every one if you, both there and here.
I hope you all are having a wonderful day today and I will see you back here very soon.

From one Latina to another,
I just had to email you because it has been quite a while since I was on your sight. As a matter of fact, you had just moved onto your property. Like you, many things have happened and life deals us ups and downs, but with the Grace of God, we get through it. I missed your lovely smile and insight on your decorating ideas. I look forward to watching you again. You and the family are in my prayers. Love the fact that you are a “loving housewife and mother” that enjoy your personal family life and enjoy sharing it with us. Keep up the good work! Que Dios los bendiga! Lidia/Florida
Thank you so much for your kind words Lidia. We appreciate them so much. It has not been easy, but it we keep pushing forward as best we can.
