Unique Gift Wrap Ideas
Unique Gift Wrap Ideas
With Christmas fast approaching I am sure you are already well into your holiday shopping, especially with all of the after Thanksgiving sales. I usually take advantage of good online sales from the comfort of my home, but I do like to get out and enjoy shopping like I remember growing up.
I like to really think about what I give during the holidays and sometimes when you’re out you can come across something really special that you might not have thought of while scrolling aimlessly through the internet webs.
Additionally I like to put some extra thought into how I wrap those special gifts. I am not a “throw it in a gift bag” sort of gal.
Nope.
As a matter of fact whenever I got to spend the holidays in Puerto Rico, I always admired how my older cousins loved to go above and beyond with their gift wrapping. And I will say they were quite creative. One thing I remember is how excited they were to be actually wrapping them and how they couldn’t wait to present them to their family for Christmas.
This created excitement in me also. I looked to the future when it would be my turn to wrap presents for my family.
Fast forward and here we are now and I can say that I love this time and thoroughly enjoy the wrapping involved during the holidays. So I am sure it’s no surprise that I like to wrap my gifts in unique ways to create even more excitement on Christmas Day.
Today I am sharing 9 different ways you can add a creative twist to your gift wrapping for Christmas and I have included detailed and steady paced video tutorials for each one.

I appreciate when I can follow instructions and not have to put the video on repeat 50 times just to try and figure out this one step that the video creator explains poorly. It’s pretty frustrating, especially when you are learning a new idea like the little “purse” looking technique shown above.
I also like to learn new versions of previous techniques I have tried. For example the 3D Christmas tree on a gift.
Previously, I had shared 11 gift wrap ideas and the video tutorial for them has gotten well over half a million views. In it I shared a ribbon Christmas tree tutorial for gifts.I loved this look and I thought it would be great to share a new version.
This new version is done with paper and its super easy to make.

This year I also got a little more intricate with an origami style Christmas bag that will create interest for any smaller gifts you might have in store for someone.
Using velvet ribbon is a wonderful way to elevate your gifts as well. I used some of the same ribbon that I used to make my vintage inspired Christmas ornaments and I love the elegance it adds.
And of course I share more practical ideas, like how to wrap a cylinder shaped gift while making it look neat and professional. It says more when you take the time to, for example, wrap a candle instead of throwing it in a bag with tissue and calling it a day.
I even share ideas like adding a printed piece of art on card stock and placing it on the top of the gift, so that it can be turned into an ornament or placed in a frame to use the following Christmas. So part of the gift wrap can actually be a gift as well.
There are many more ideas I assure you. So if you are ready to follow along and get some of these gifts wrapped early watch the video below and actually enjoy decorating your gifts this season.
Just make sure you have a handy tape dispenser so things will run smoothly for you!
I truly hope you try these out! And as always share this with your gift wrap loving friends or pin it on Pinterest.
I will see you back here soon with more inspiration.
