Every once in a while, I like to do compilation videos on my channel. This helps newer subscribers become familiar with any past DIYs that they haven’t seen yet and it also gives me the opportunity to group things in a video with a particular theme.

I have used Dollar Tree rope to create a lot of DIYs and I thought it would be great to round up some old ones and create some new ones, so that’s what I did.

I shared 12 ROPE DIYs in my recent video and in today’s post I am sharing one of those 12. This is a brand-new DIY and I think it’s perfect for the warmer months ahead. It has a coastal feel but it’s not too “themey” which is just the way I like it.

The next bonus is that it’s super easy to make and really inexpensive.

What you need:

I took a green wreath form and wrapped 2 different types of Dollar Tree rope around (the nautical newer one and their original brown one).

Quick note: when choosing your nautical rope make sure you select the same color. Some batches were dyed differently. I know it’s hard to tell, but the left rope below is more creamy and the one on the right is more gray. It may be subtle but it can affect your final look.

Moving on…

You want to wrap your rope two at a time, making sure that they are nice and tight as you go around.

You will notice that the rope will start to become more and more angled as you continue. This is due to the roundness of the wreath. You can go as far as you can without it being too much of a slant.

Once it was too slanted, I decided to stop and continue my rope wrapping on the other side. You can see what I am referring to below.

The good news is that I did not have to go all the way to the bottom since I was going to add greenery.

I had some leftover palms from a previous DIY that I adhered with some hot glue.

Then I added one stem of pink flowers to the front. I didn’t want to add too many since in this case less is more. You can choose to add as many or as little as you want and you can use different colors of flowers as well.

And that was pretty much it! I hot-glued small piece of jute to the back of the wreath and hung it up with a command hook.

It’s simple but the rope just makes a beautiful statement. And now that my door is a blue color, I think it looks perfect for summer!

I think the combination of the two ropes is stunning and so unique. Put this on your front door and your guests will love it for sure!
