Hello friends! I hope your weekend has been going well so far. Can you believe it is already July!? Time is flying! Before you know it, we will be decorating for Christmas!
Just kidding…. or am I???? ?
Anyhoo! If you still need a 4th of July home decor piece for your get-together this week, continue reading cause the American flag that I just created is not only super simple, but ridiculously inexpensive to make!
I recently shared my latest Michael’s store haul, including the stash of patriotic ribbon I purchased for only $1 a roll during their lowest prices of the season sale. I thought I would create an American flag that I can hang inside my home for the upcoming holiday…. cause the rest of my patriotic decor already up is from Memorial Day .
With the ribbon I purchased, a dowel left over from my mini farmhouse ornament signs, and some other items I already had in my craft room, I was able to put together a gorgeous flag with a farmhouse touch.
I thought it would be best to share all of the steps in a video which I have included for you below. I even offer a really good tip on how to prevent your ribbon from fraying at the ends, so make sure to check that out.
