Hello! I figured it was a good time for another “Que Pasa at the Latina’s” post. I mentioned in my last tutorial that I have been going through some things in the background which is why I was away for a little bit… truth be told, things have been a little overwhelming with my kids having so many activities at school that have required me to be involved one way or another.

In addition, I still haven’t finished unpacking….

It’s terrible, I know!!!! I’m so ashamed….

There are so many boxes in the basement that I hate venturing down there simply because it is a constant reminder of what I need (but don’t want to tackle).

But the truth is I need to tackle it and the rest of the clutter that has been causing me unnecessary stress so I decided to bite the bullet and buy Marie Kondo’s book on decluttering and organization – more specifically the Konmari method that everyone has been raving about.

This is the first time I have ever done this, but I feel I need to get rid of the “stuff” in my home that I just don’t need and hopefully that will help remove the “stuff” in my head that can cause overwhelm. I am excited to get started and am excited to share my experience with the whole process.

Who knows?!?! Maybe this will inspire a few of you as well and we can even go through the process together.

Also, for some time I have been wanting to create a free printable library for you all to download simple decor artwork for your home and I am glad to say that I have started already.

I will be releasing some sweet printables for Spring and Easter in a couple of days so stay tuned for that email! Here is a quick example of one the prints below!

Also, if you recall, we recently transformed our littlest’s bedroom where I showed you how to paint a buffalo check wall. Well, that only means one thing… that we are on to our next project.

Right now we have been tackling our master bedroom and then we will move on to our oldest’s room. I will be sharing the “before” pictures with you in the next few days as well.

I will leave you with two words that describe the before of my master bedroom…. “Mexican restaurant”…. oh yeah, I’m totally serious! Stay tuned!

Something else I have been working on is my YouTube channel. I have been surprised at the support and growth it has had over the past couple of months. I’m already getting close to 2,000 subscribers and when I do I will be hosting a giveaway!

On my channel I share organizational tips, like this one where I used Dollar Tree products, fabric tutorials like my most popular video on felt flowers and transformations like the recent one I did for the $5 Goodwill challenge where I created a beautiful vignette on one of my nightstands with probably the most inexpensive Goodwill find yet!

My plan is to create a video for each blog post since some people are more visual…

So if you haven’t subscribed make sure you do here to check out more videos coming your way!

That’s it for now my friends!

I will see you in a couple of days!

  1. Ha ha. I’m so anal that both times we moved, I was unpacked with everything put away in 3 days. But, I don’t bake for my kids nor did I paint half the house like you. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Being a great mom and wife are way more important than blogging! I’ll keep sending you good vibes! 😉

    1. Thank you for your encouragement Cindy! Boy I wish you lived near me though, LOL! Hopefully I’ll get it done before the end of this year.
