Okay, so I am a little late with the update. But alas, I am here and I have finally made progress!

It seems like all I have done is paint and purge. My bookcases that I transformed look even better than I thought. And they ended up looking perfect on either side of the window.

To get the same look on your bookshelves you can watch my video tutorial here.

And I am sure you noticed that back wall!

I stenciled it and it turned out great!

I did this same stencil in my last home in the breakfast area and I shared how I did it.

Since this is my third go-around with stenciling (my last one was the laundry room floor) I will be adding a complete tutorial on my YouTube channel as well as sharing all of my tips & tricks on getting that same faux cement tile look.

I will go over everything so stay tuned!

Now, I am excited because I finally get to organize!!!!!

I bought several things to help me out so far and I wanted to share a few of them with you. I hope to use everything, but you never know until you actually start so I may or may not keep everything.

First up I got these cute spice jars and spice rack at Ikea.

These are good for buttons, safety pins, rubber bands, etc. and at $2.79 for 4 of them you just can’t beat that!

Next, I got these Sunnersta containers along with their rods to mount on the wall.

I know you have probably seen these below:

Well the Sunnersta collection is a much more inexpensive option.

The metal buckets above cost $5.99 a piece. The rail costs $8.99 and the hooks cost $2.99 a pair.

Meanwhile the Sunnersta container costs $0.79 and the rail only $1.99. Plus they don’t need hooks.

Then I purchased the items below as well:

I purchased the lazy susan (top left) to hold scissors etc. and I was able to purchase it at Hobby Lobby for 50% off!

I tried to find it on their site with no luck, but they have a similar one at Michael’s.

Then I purchased the large glass container (top right)  at Target so I can keep my scrap fabric handy whenever I need to practice a particular stitch.

And finally I purchased 6 of the gray fabric bins from my favorite online store Hollar. These were only $3 each and they are super durable!

Get $5 off your first purchase by using my link here.

Next I need to built my work table and start putting everything together. Let me know what you think so far below!

Stay tuned for the stencil video and next week’s update!
